Our Approach
Our natural aesthetic weaves traditional styles that have worked over long periods of time with unexpected twists. We believe more classic styles, honed over generations, provide a strong foundation for personalized interiors. That’s why we love incorporating eclectic touches, whether it’s a vibrant artwork juxtaposed with a family heirloom or a custom-upholstered sofa sharing space with an antique armchair.

Meet Ali
A native to the Washington, DC area, Ali graduated from Elon University in 2008 and moved to New York City to begin her career in the fashion industry. This opened her eyes to the idea of dressing yourself as you would a room in your home, and she quickly realized that her love for textiles belonged in a different arena. Her first foray into Interior Design was an internship with Kemble Interiors at their New York office. During her 2 years with Kemble Interiors, she obtained her graduate degree in Interior Design from the New York School of Interior Design.
Upon graduation, she went on to work for famed interior designers, Katie Ridder and Amanda Nesbit, both based in New York City. After a cumulative 8 years with both Katie and Amanda, she started Ali Frye Interiors in 2015. Shortly after beginning her own design firm, life brought her back to the DC area. Ali currently resides with her husband and three children in Chevy Chase, Maryland and spends most of her free time working, sourcing items for her current projects or attempting to calm the joyful chaos of life.
